This year's special alumni events celebrating the HSPH Centennial year are timed to coincide with the opening of the Annual Meeting of the APHA in Boston and include free and ticketed events from November 1 - 4, 2013 with the flagship events held on Saturday, November 2. Tickets and registration are available now. Early registration and recent graduate discounts are described below.
Fri, November 1 The Second Century Symposium: Transforming Public Health Education - This event has reached capacity and we apologize that we are unable accept new registrations.

Alumni Weekend starts with a daylong gathering of leaders from across public health and higher education. Learn about innovations taking place at Harvard School of Public Health and elsewhere to better educate current and future leaders and researchers in the field.
Flagship events: Saturday, November 2
Meta-Leadership Skill Building for Public Health Practice
9:00 am - 4:00 pm
Saturday begins with an intensive, day-long workshop at the School on Meta-Leadership for Public Health Practice led by dynamic faculty members Barry Dorn, SM '04, Associate Director of the Program for Health Care Negotiation and Conflict Resolution, and Lenny Marcus, founding Co-Director of the National Preparedness Leadership Initiative. Attendees will receive 4 hours AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™.

Celebrate at the Alumni Centennial Dinner

In the evening, a festive Centennial dinner at the Institute of Contemporary Art on Boston's waterfront will feature multi-media presentations and the Award of Merit Ceremony. Special tables will be reserved for class reunion years.

Mon, November 4 – HSPH Alumni Centennial Reception at APHA - Free with registration
6:00 - 8:00 pm Alumni Weekend concludes with a free reception for the HSPH community at the annual meeting of the American Public Health Association (APHA) at the Exchange Conference Center on the Boston Fish Pier in the Seaport District, just steps from the Convention Center.
Tickets and Registration
You may purchase tickets for the full Saturday package, or for each activity at an a la carte price. There is no charge for the events on Friday and Monday but registration is required.

If you are attending the Annual Meeting of the APHA
In addition to the rates listed above, APHA has a list of hotels at special rates for the duration of the conference, November 2-6. You can find the list of hotels on the APHA website. You must ask for the APHA rate for stays after November 2. All of the above hotels except The Inn at Longwood are included in the APHA rate for continued stay.
Directions and Parking in the Longwood Medical Area: For events in the Longwood Medical Area. We recommend using GoogleMaps to get driving or public transit directions. This guide provides helpful information on parking in the Longwood Medical Area, but we highly recommend the use of public transportation. The HSPH campus is very accessible via the MBTA, directly across the street from the Brigham Circle Green Line (E) stop.
Getting around Boston's Seaport District
The Seaport Hotel & World Trade Center website provides detailed information on transportation, restaurants and activities in Boston's spectacular Seaport District.

Thurs - Fri, October 24 - 25, The Harvard School of Public Health Centennial Celebration and Campaign Launch Gala promises to be an exciting evening celebrating the School’s past, present, and future. Individual tickets for this event are $500. There are also a number of other ways attendees can support the School and its mission at this event. Each donor of $10,000 and above will select from one of a series of beautifully designed congratulatory ads to be included in the event commemorative program book. View complete details here.
