Make plans now to return to Boston and the HSPH Longwood campus for the 2012 Harvard School of Public Health Alumni Weekend on Friday and Saturday, September 28–29, 2012. The weekend features ample networking opportunities, a special dinner for Class Reunion years, and all-inclusive or a la carte ticket pricing options; you can view the agenda and see details below. We've provided some resources for planning your visit as well, including activities for the whole family while you're in Boston.

Friday, September 28
4:00 – 5:30 pm Documentary Film Screening: No Woman, No Cry
To kick off a weekend around the theme of Women and Health, join the HSPH community to view the documentary film No Woman, No Cry in which director Christy Turlington Burns, Founder, Every Mother Counts shares the powerful stories of at-risk pregnant women from around the world. A seat at the film is included with your registration for the Faculty–Alumni reception or the full weekend package. The director will be present for a Q&A following the screening.
5:30 – 7:00 pm Faculty–Alumni Reception
Join fellow alumni, HSPH faculty, students and staff at an informal networking reception to kick off Alumni Weekend 2012. Dean Julio Frenk will provide an update on the state of the School. Drinks and hors d'oeuvres are included with your registration. At 7:00 those attendees not celebrating class reunions will enjoy free time to meet old friends or to return to our preferred hotels on a complimentary shuttle bus.
7:00 – 8:45 pm Decennial 25 Class Reunion Dinner
Reunion classes will gather for a special dinner celebrating 50th, 40th, 30th, 25th, 20th or 10th HSPH reunions; classes of 1962, 1972, 1982, 1987, 1992, and 2002. A complimentary shuttle bus will return to our preferred hotels after the reunion dinner. Note: the Class Reunion Dinner is priced separately from the weekend package.

10:00 am – 5:30 pm Alumni Weekend Symposium: Women and Health
The symposium begins with coffee at 10:00 am and includes the buffet luncheon and award presentations and concludes with a reception from 5:30 – 6:30 pm. Application for AMA PRA Category 1™ Continuing Medical Education Credits pending. Download a detailed agenda.

5:30 – 8:30 pm Alumni Award of Merit Reception and Dinner with the 2012 Honorees
Celebrate the 2012 recipients of the Harvard School of Public Health Alumni Award of Merit immediately at the conclusion of the Alumni Weekend Symposium. The Alumni Award of Merit is the highest honor presented to alumni of the Harvard School of Public Health, and 2012 is the twenty-first year in this tradition.

You may register for the full weekend package, or for each activity at an a la carte price. Please note that the Class Reunion Dinner is at an additional cost and not included in the standard Alumni Weekend registration.

Directions and Parking: All events this year are held on the HSPH campus's Kresge building (see map below). We recommend using GoogleMaps to get driving or public transit directions. This guide provides helpful information on parking in the Longwood Medical Area, but we highly recommend the use of public transportation. The HSPH campus is very accessible via the MBTA, directly across the street from the Brigham Circle Green Line (E) stop. Each of the listed hotels is either a short walk or a quick subway ride away from Alumni Weekend activities.
