Informal Alumni Meet-Ups

Regional Harvard Chan School Alumni Chapters

The Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health Office of Alumni Affairs is working to help alumni across the globe connect with fellow classmates by helping to organize a variety of regional activities in cities around the globe. These activities fall into several categories.

Educational & Networking Events

Educational & Networking Events are free or low-cost opportunities for alumni to learn about cutting edge public health research. These events are organized by the Office for Alumni Affairs - often in conjunction with the local Harvard Club - to coincide with the travel schedules of Harvard Chan School Faculty or Dean Julio Frenk . If you have a suggestion for an event with a Harvard Chan School professor or public health topic you would like to see discussed in your area, please contact Jim Smith in the Alumni Office.

Informal Alumni Meet-Ups

Informal Alumni Meet-Ups are just that - informal get togethers that alumni organize themselves. You pick the place, time and date (often a pub, restaurant or coffee shop or someone's home) and the alumni office can help get the word out to fellow Harvard Chan School alumni who live or work in your area. The alumni office can even FedEx a "Meet Up Kit" to organizers that includes name tags and relevant materials. Some meet-ups are organized in conjunction with a conference alumni attend or simply a small group of alumni who live and work locally. If you would like to learn more about how to organize a successful Alumni Meet-Up where you are, contact Jim Smith in the Alumni Office.

Regional Harvard Chan School Alumni Chapters

We are excited to have established a number of local Harvard Chan School Alumni Chapters in cities where we have a large concentration of alumni or just an enthusiastic group of leaders. These organizations are volunteer led and host several events throughout the year, from networking opportunities to social and educational events to develop and strengthen the alumni network. If you are interested in learning more about starting a Regional Harvard Chan School Alumni Chapter in your area, you can contact David Rogers.
