The ongoing conflict in Syria has resulted in a large-scale humanitarian crisis with important public health policy implications. An estimated two million Syrians have escaped to neighboring countries of Turkey, Lebanon, Jordan and Iraq. Millions more people remain displaced within Syria’s borders. International inspectors have now entered Syria and have been tasked with the challenge of safely dismantling and destroying chemical weapons. This Forum event, presented in collaboration with PRI’s The World and WGBH, will examine the practicalities and decision-making driving the humanitarian response to this unfolding world event.

Part of a larger Harvard series on Syria's humanitarian crisis. #HarvardonSyria.
